Yoga means union. Union between the individual soul and the universal one.
Within a regular practice of physical Yoga, dynamic or restorative, the Asanas* will bring vitality, strength and flexibility to the body, improve the posture, bring peace to the mind and gradually calm the nervous system. Creating a balance between the physical, the emotional, the mental and the spiritual level.
More than a physical activity, Yoga is a state of being, a state of mind where consciousness of the present moment is rising. It is a practice using the awareness of the breath, deep and active; the awareness of every part of the body in action; and the awareness of the Bandhas**.
A great importance is given to the placement of the body in each Asana*, in order to avoid pain and physical problems commonly caused by improper alignment. Seeking a high degree of precision (within each body’s own limitations), the movements are fluid and follow each one’s own rhythm of breath.The Yoga session becomes one big flowing sequence, done with awareness and joy.
Attracted by the spiritual energy of the island, many people in search of tranquility and peace come to Ibiza with the intention to get in touch with their body and harmonize their mind. Ibiza is a great place to start a Yoga or a meditation practice, or to go deeper into your existing practice.
