For a truly relaxing holiday this week long Flow Yoga /Pilates & Mindfulness retreat in a most peaceful villa in the countryside ~ ideal to clear your head and unwind from the pressures of modern living.
The retreat: includes 7 nights accommodation in shared room. Prices are fully inclusive of healthy help yourself light breakfast before the 2h morning practice (30 minutes of Pranayama ans Mindfulness Meditation and 1h30 Flow Yoga) followed by a copious vegetarian lunch and 1h of Pilates or relaxing Yoga practice in the evening, before a light vegetarian dinner.
The accommodation: is in shared room (2 or 3 p), for single occupancy: add 250 €. All rooms have ensuite facilities. The single rooms have a large double bed.
The villa: Can Magdale is situated in the north of the island. It has a pool and beautiful gardens that create the perfect opportunity for privacy and relaxation. The pool area has large terrace with sun beds, Balinese parasols and outdoor shower area. The garden, an oasis in paradise has lots of different places to chill and relax.
The villa’s reception area, heart of the house, enjoys views of the garden and countryside, perfect for long ‘feasts’. The villa has many private areas for relaxation and enjoying the good energy and ambience.
There is a private Flat Screen TV room, with plenty of DVDs and SKY TV. Wi-Fi
The location is excellent, 25 minutes drive from Ibiza town and the airport the villa is located in the nature, the nearest village of San Miguel is 5 km away. You can walk in the woodlands straight from the villa.
The Yoga: There will be 2 hours of Yoga in the morning, starting with 30 mins of pranayama and Mindfulness Meditation outside in the fresh air, on a shaded terrace with a great view, and then 90 mins of guided yoga postures, followed by a delicious lunch. Plus 1 hour sunset relaxing yoga/Pilates each evening before dinner. 3 h daily practice in total.
The classes will be taught by Opale who has experience in many types of yoga including Iyengar Yoga, Astanga Vinyasa Yoga and Vinyasa Flow (Power Yoga). She teaches with a professional and sensitive approach allowing for each individual student to practise at their own pace with confidence. The lessons are suitable for all. Complete beginners as well as long term practitioners welcome! Every student will receive a special attention.
The 6 morning sessions include Pranayama (breathing exercises) and Mindfulness Meditation, Asanas (Yoga postures), Vinyasa (sequence of poses), sequencing of Prana Flow. All will benefit from the lessons.
The 6 evening lessons will alternate every other day: Pilates, to ensure specific focus on improving your core and help to build and strengthen the muscles supporting your spine and Yin Yoga, to improve your flexibility, without straining, using Mindfulness tools.
Mindfulness: Did you know that the stiffest muscle of your body is the one inside your head? We are mostly limited by our mind. By learning to smile and relax your mind, you will find freedom in your body and flow with lightness in your practice. Experience a unique approach which integrated the tools of Mindfulness into the physical practice of Yoga.
The teacher: Opale will be providing teachings of Vinyasa flowing and dynamic Yoga which incorporates and combine Prana Flow sequences. Her background in various Yoga schools will promote the thorough study of each posture. She will gently ease you into the practice with breathing exercises and smooth movements to awaken the muscles and joints with preparation throughout the week for tougher poses through core and back strengthening exercises. Opale teaches with a professional and sensitive approach allowing for each individual student to evolve into their practice with fluidity and confidence.
The Food: is delicious, healthy & vegetarian. A help yourself breakfast composed of fresh seasonal fruits cereals, milk and Yogurt will be at your disposal for a light breakfast before the lessons. Lunch and dinner will be served in the dinning room, or on the terrace overlooking the garden, after the lessons. Gluten and/or dairy-free requirements are catered for when necessary, please advise when booking.
Activities: We are here to assist you with your holiday. We can organize for you various extra activities :horse riding, kite surfing, cycling, hiking, hidden Ibiza walks, kayaking, SUP, go-karting…, drivers, childcare and other services. The nearest village of San Miguel (5 minutes drive) offers all services (Pharmacy, Banks, etc…)
You can also have a massage or relax by the pool and enjoy the remote feeling of the gorgeous garden.
Car rental: There are a wealth of things to see on the island (if you share the cost of hiring a car you can enjoy sites further afield) such as Ibiza city’s old walled town, the Saturday hippy markets Las Dahlias, and Es Vedra, the birthplace of the island’s goddess, Tannit. The Yoga classes starts on day 2 until day 7, and will be followed by lunch, dinner after the evening classes.
